Fund Ownership Data Enhancement
As new technologies provide access to more information, the MarketSmith® team is always searching for the most current and relevant data to provide its customers in their research for the next best investment opportunity.
That’s why we are pleased to announce effective November 5, 2010 MarketSmith will provide enhanced information regarding fund ownership of stocks. Previously, we reported domestic mutual fund ownership as part of a stock’s fund ownership calculation. Going forward MarketSmith will now include all domestic and foreign mutual and hedge funds. The impact of this change will be reflected in the daily and weekly MarketSmith stock charts containing fund ownership. This information will also be reflected in the Institutional Ownership that appears in the Related Information panel for each MarketSmith stock chart. Most likely you will see an increase in the funds ownership percentage since this calculation now includes global ownership data. Access complete details below:

Database Change: Canadian Stocks
It is our goal to provide our subscribers with the best tools and data available. We scrutinize and scrub company financials and reporting to ensure that you are basing your investing decisions on the best possible data, screening criteria and proprietary ratings and rankings.
We recently determined that we cannot continue to maintain that same high level of data cleansing for stocks in our database listed on Canadian exchanges. As a result, we have made the decision to remove the stocks listed on the Canadian exchanges from the MarketSmith database effective January 10th, 2011. For any Canadian exchange stocks you may wish to track after January 10th, you will need to export that information from any watch lists that contain these stocks or print any charts before they are removed.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this action may cause you. If you have any questions or comments, please contact us at (800) 424-9033; 8:30AM to 8:00PM ET Monday to Friday.
